I seem to always have a go-to drink and right now, this is it. Well, it’s not really a drink per say, but it’s close. I like to call it PRO YO because it’s a mix between a protein shake and frozen yogurt. It’s super thick and creamy, you’ll likely need to eat it with a spoon. With how hot it is here in Southern CA (topping 95 degrees and climbing), this is the perfect afternoon snack. Funny, but perfect is exactly what it is and what the ingredients contain!
Perfect food bars are one of my favorite snacks! They have all sorts of flavors but peanut butter is probably one of my favorite since it has a ton of protein in it and, well, it’s peanut butter. You really can’t mess that up now can you? They also have almond butter for you paleo folks and a light version (with cranberries) for those counting calories.
Back to this dessert, ahem, I mean snack. It’s so dang good. Go make one and bring a spoon. You’re gonna need it!
- Perfect Foods peanut butter or almond bar
- ½-3/4 cup chocolate milk
- 2 scoops of protein powder, chocolate flavored (I used Xecute)
- 1 lg banana, sliced and frozen
- Place frozen banana chunks and chunks of bar into a blender. Pour milk and protein powder in. Add a few ice cubes if you'd like. Blend until thoroughly mixed, aprox 1-2 mins.
